Plasma Membrane
The role the plasma membrane has in maintaining homeostasis is that it controls what comes in and out of the cell.
Regulation of Homeostasis
Through Temperature: By having the right temperature the cells don't having any odd shape and inhibiting it from doing its job. pH, Blood | Glucose Levels Water Balance: The cell maintains homeostasis by regulating water which helps every process in the cell function smoothly. |
Osmotic Pressure Changes
When there is a higher concentration of salt in the cell then not a lot of salt will be out the cell, and the cell becomes Hypo-tonic because it swells When there is a equal amount of salt going in and out of the cell then this is called isotonic. | When there's a low amount of salt in the cell but high concentrations out of the cell then it becomes hyper-tonic because the cell shrinks in size. |
