There are many different parts of a cell. First, theres the nucleus. The job of the nucleus is to be the control center of the cell. Then, theres the plasma membrane. It protects the cell from it's surroundings. The cell wall also protects the cell from it's surroundings, but is only found in Plant Cell. The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell. It gives the cell energy. The vacuoles store the cell nutrients. Chloroplast produces ATP for plant cells. The ribosomes link amino acids together.
There are two different types of cells. Animal cells and plant cells. Animal cells do not have a cell wall, instead they only have cell membrane. The Plant Cell has chloroplast which produces ATP. It also performs photosynthesis. For the most part though, the two types of cells have the same organelles.
The cell is set up so that the organelles can function together.
