What are the products & reactants of photosynthesis & cell respiration?
The products of Photosynthesis are oxygen and glucose which are the reactants of cell respiration. Cell respiration produces carbon dioxide and water which are needed for photosynthesis.
How do photosynthesis & cell respiration relate to the carbon cycle?
The process of photosynthesis and cell repatriation is related to the carbon cycle on simple terms. Cell Respiration produces the carbon dioxide that photosynthesis uses.
What factors affect photosynthesis?
- Light Intensity- the light can effect the plant preforming photosynthesis. If the plant doesn't have enough light the plant cannot produce food very quickly even if there is enough carbon dioxide and water.
- Carbon Dioxide Concentration - Photosynthesis can be limited by the concentration of the carbon dioxide in the air around the plant. The light does not matter if their isn't enough carbon in the air.
- Temperature- If it is too cold photosynthesis will slow down, if it is too hot the plant will do nothing. The temperature effects the rate of the plant depending on the climate it is used to.
What factors affect cell respiration?
- Temperature- Temperature can slow or stop the process if the plant or animal is not in the correct climate.
